Mobile traffic now represents the majority of website visits for most businesses. Designing primarily for desktop is no longer practical. A site that works well on mobile must be intentional, not accidental. Mobile users scan more, scroll faster, and expect immediate clarity. Touch interaction changes design requirements significantly. Buttons must be easy to tap and forms must be simple. Performance is even more critical on mobile networks. Search engines also evaluate mobile usability when ranking sites. When mobile is treated as the primary experience, desktop layouts usually improve as well.
